Because all Steph wants for Christmas is him, in a number of naughty ways. And not-so saintly Nick is going to make every one of her carnal wishes come true. Wish List is a quick, sensually erotic, short holiday story (40 pages) that's packed full of fabulous characterization (I adored both the hero and heroine) and heavy on plot.

In fact, there was too much plot for such a short book, which left me somewhat dissatisfied with the way the story ended. Don't get me wrong, it ended with a good resolution. However, the book progressed from a light and flirty feel, to a plot with a more serious undertone.

However, the book progressed from a light and flirty feel, to a plot with a more serious undertone. It left the reader wanting and deserving more. With that said, I still loved so much about this quick, sexy, and heartfelt story. 4 Stars for this sweet holiday treat! 'I’m not asking for easy, sweetheart. I’m asking for a chance to make you happy.” How I wished that Sylvia Day had penned a longer story here, because I would have loved to spend more time with Nick and Stephanie.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed what I read, and became rather quickly attached to the characters. The story was detailed enough with the their past involvement, that you could see how intimacy would present itself so early in the book. As a rea 4 Stars for this sweet holiday treat! As a reader you could feel the need and desire that Nick and Stephanie had for each other, it wasn't just a physical attraction, it was more than that, and very believable. Rarely does an ending surprise me, but this one did, and it was incredibly sweet! The author just needed to embellish on it a bit more. My other gripe, which has nothing to do with the book content, is that awful cover.I'm not a fan.no cover lust here, BUT what's inside will warm your heart! Nick would be at the top of my wish list too!! Yep, you are reading that correctly.

This little gem may just be tailor made for my taste or maybe it was really that awesome. It was a bite size bit o' love, but no less satisfying than a full-size batch.

Great 'palate cleanser' following a heavier read. Or it might be better described as an 'amuse bouche'.

This is how Wikipedia describes that culinary treasure, which, to me, seems oh so perfect: 'These (amuse bouches), often accompanied by a complementing wine, are served as a little tingler for the taste buds both to prepare the guest for the meal and to offer a glimpse into the chef's approach to cooking.' With that in mind, Dear Reader I suggest reading Wish List accompanied by a fine dessert wine and to do so just before diving into. It's also perfect on its own if you just need to add a wee bit of Sylvia to your Day (Ha! See what I did there?) Thanks for the loaner, Kristen! T'was delightful.

This was really hot but way too short to get the full five stars. I wish Sylvia Day would give these characters a full story because I loved them! Nicolas James is incredibly romantic but knows how to get down and dirty. He is basically the dream guy and I wish we got more of him! If anyone is looking for a very quick but fun read to get into the holiday spirit, or a girl who fantasises about the forbidden coworker, I definitely recommend this!. I bought and read this because I wanted to try something of Sylvia Day’s without spending too much time on something with a heel on the cover. I’m thinking I made the right choice. From a technical perspective, Day writes very well. Grammar, story structure, and other basic details have been thought through as have the characters and characterisations. As much as I liked the words, I didn’t particularly like the story they were telling. I realise this is a short story and an erotica.

As much as I liked the words, I didn’t particularly like the story they were telling. I realise this is a short story and an erotica. It’s supposed to be a fantasy and it’s not supposed to be bogged down by such small details as lengthy discussions and explicit consent, but I don’t think this worked without those in the front.

Stephanie is too determined against having any fun for Nicholas’ forced seduction(s) to read as anything other than borderline rape to me. She tells him to stop too many times for me to fully immerse in the fantasy weekend off she’s supposed to be taking. And his refusal to take a no for an answer seriously hinders my ability to consider him as a romantic hero.

Day tried but it didn’t work for me. I’ve not yet given up on her as an author, but I’m not in a hurry to read more from her either.

This short story was outrageously, shockingly perfect. It will definitely get you in a festive mood for the holidays! Day’s Christmas tale is ridiculously captivating. She uses extremely vivid descriptions to draw you further and further into this tale. The narrator does a brilliant job with this tale. She heightens the story to an extent that you can’t help but love it. She takes the very vivid, brilliant descriptions that Day has set forth and makes them pop.

She takes the very vivid, brilliant descriptions that Day has set forth and makes them pop. The main characters are very well developed for a novella. You come to know and love them. The way that they interact with each other and with the supporting cast allows you to know them on an even deeper level.

Overall, this was a brilliant, heart-warming tale that automatically puts you in the Christmas spirit. It’s a quick short read (or listen) that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. 1.5 stars I picked this one up for a quick end of the year read. I've tried Day's and I didn't really care that much for it. Her writing is an improvement from E.L. James, but her story telling is not that great.

Anyway, I wanted to give her another try because once in awhile I do like a little erotica;). This was just ok. Day jumps right into the sex story, which I appreciated. It was fine until it took a weird turn into serious territory.

Then she pops out with a secret that makes no sense. How can Nicholas not know Steph had a son when he worked with her closely for many months and had his eye on her?? I don't know of any single mom that would hide her kid like Steph did. Bachelor to be so cool with it.more unbelievable than his Secret Santa gift.

So yeah, I just wanted a fun little romp and instead, it got ruined with some seriousness that didn't make sense in the story. 1 1/2 stars since the sex scenes weren't too bad and the SS gift was a fun one.

Forgive the slightly muddled review. Am having trouble putting my feelings into words when it comes to this book. To be honest, I'm really disappointed. I absolutely adore these plots.

Honestly, I do. I'm such a sucker for books that have this kind of storyline. Although I didn't hate this book, it did fall flat. Firstly, the reader is dumped in the middle of the story and I didn't like that. After a few pages, the story reverses with exposition and I couldn't help but think, 'So why didn't y.

After a few pages, the story reverses with exposition and I couldn't help but think, 'So why didn't you start there?' It was a slow, rough start and I found it difficult to connect with the main characters because of how it opened. Stephanie was just.odd.

I can't think of a way to put it. She constantly thinks about Nicholas and how, despite the fact that she has the hots for him, she shouldn't go there. But when she looks at the guy, she melts and goes, 'Oh, all right then, since you've twisted my arm. Have your way with me.'

There wasn't any sensible internal conflict going on. In fact, the reader isn't given any real reason why Stephanie thinks she shouldn't be with Nicholas until the end.

For some reason, that didn't sit well with me. If there were hints or clues along the way, then fair enough.

But there wasn't so it came out of the blue. Maybe Sylvia Day just isn't for me. I really hope so because I know for a fact that my sister has bought at least two other of Day's novels and she expects me to read them. Wish List is a hot, quickie story so I am going to keep this review short and sweet.

Wish list sylvia day

It is no secret that I am a Sylvia Day fan, Seven Years to Sin, Bared to You, and Reflected in You are all some of my favorite reads. When Nick draws Stephanie as his secret santa and finds a hidden 'naughty' list that Steph wrote, all naughty acts she wanted to do with Nick, he makes it his goal to make Steph's Christmas fantasies come true. Wish List is a very hot, sexy read, but it is also a romance. Stephanie has relationship baggage and hesitant to get involved with anyone, especially anyone with a playboy reputation. Nick knows he has a playboy reputation, but his attraction to Stephanie is different.

The more he gets to know her, the more he wants to keep her. Both Stephanie and Nick have to make some adjustments and take some chances, but their relationship proves to be just as sweet as it is steamy.

I enjoy my romances with an extra side of sexy, and Wish List definitely fit the bill. I really enjoyed this story, even though it was quite short. The holiday setting helped to make the romance that much sweeter, and the presents that much hotter;). Readers, if you are looking for a quick, hot holiday read I recommend picking up Wish List. Super short read.

This is Nick & Stephanie's story. Two lawyers that work together and really are super hot for each other. Nick has asked Stephanie out many times but she says she is not interested. Nick wants Stephanie very badly. One night while working late at the office Nick finds a crumpled piece of trash, as Nick is about to throw it out he realizes it is Stephanie's stationary and unable to help himself he takes a peak. He can not believe what he sees it is Stephanie's Naughty Wish List and everything she wants for Christmas has him as the leading man. Setting out to get the girl of his dreams he gives her the Secret Santa present.

She knows exactly who her Secret Santa is because the present is a nice gift certificate to a fancy restaurant and a nude photo of Nick. OMG - Is it hot in here. So she & Nick speak about the list and decide that they should just go for it. He wants her forever, she does not think he is capable of forever and is guarded, Stephanie has decided to settle for what she can get.

And what she can get is really HOT HOT SEX. There is more to this short story and the relationship goes beyond the bounds of sex. Give it a quick read and see if Nick can win Stephanie's heart. I've been writing in reviews that books are sweet lately, and this is yet another one.

A sweet Christmas story of a playboy, Nick, who put it all on the line for the girl, Steph, who wouldn't give him the time of day. Not that she hadn't noticed him, but his playboy reputation put him off limits. Handy then (maybe fate?) that he found Steph's Christmas wish list in which Nick had a starring naughty role.

Wish List Sylvia Day

Handy then (maybe fate?) that he found Steph's Christmas wish list in which Nick had a starring naughty role. And it just so happened that he was her Secret Santa at the office so he could make her wishes come true.

If only she'd give it a chance. But despite the off-the-charts chemistry they had, he couldn't overcome something he didn't know about. Once he found out, he still did his homework to make Steph as comfortable as possible with them forging something incredible together. It was really sweet as well as steamy. Who wouldn't want a Nick around?
