Jake E Lee - A Fine Pink Mist Initially released only in Japan, this album has since been reissued and can be obtained through a variety of mailorder companies. Lee's only true 'solo' release, 'Pink Mist' followed several years after the breakup of Badlands. A somewhat Dweezil Zappa-ish feel is applied at times, as while this is certainly guitar-centered, it is experimental as well. Not as grounded as his Ozzy and Badlands fans would like, I'm sure, but still a unique and quite decent CD (assuming you check your preconceptions at the door). An expansive undertaking, and guitar-release enthusiasts will definitely enjoy it.The slow cooker 'Exithouse' starts things off, and 'Demon A Go-Go' with its slightly Mexicano feel follows. The spunky and snaking attitude of the immortal 'Soulfinger' is contagious, and 'Atomic Holiday' blends both psychedelic and blues elements. Some spoken words and lyrics show up in 'The Rapture,' and a nice midway pickup kicks in as well.

'Galaxy of Tears' has some tooling and cranky sounds, and disc-closer 'Bludfuk' has an almost sci-fi like kick. Exithouse 02.
